Half-hardy annuals. The seed should be sown in spring in pots placed in heat, and kept in the hothouse till May, when the plants may be set out in a sheltered location, placing sticks for them to run up, in the like manner to Beans.

The dolichos lablab grows to a height of 6 ft.

It flowers in July.
